The Real Joy of Christmas

Jeremy and I think this video is PRECIOUS!! We put up the Christmas tree and some decorations while Lily was napping so here is her genuine reaction to seeing it for the first time! You can hear her saying "Star" (Gar) and "What is it?".

We are so excited about celebrating this Advent season with Lily! She is old enough this year to be aware of all the special things we are doing - with family, friends, and church community. Jeremy and I are looking to start some new traditions this Christmas - ones that will keep us from becoming slaves to the consumer mindset, help us to remember the reasons we celebrate, and keep us simple! Any suggestions? What does your family do?

This is another new thing that started this past weekend! For some reason, it makes her really happy to rock back forcefully. She smiles the whole time. Does anyone know what this is about?

CARPET EMERGENCY!!!

This message is for all your EAST TENNESSEE...-ITES? Please oh please, if anyone has a carpet cleaning machine we can borrow, PLEASE let us know by leaving a comment below. Lily made her mark with spit-up on our carpet for the past 5 and a half months, and now she is wallowing in it. If I dont hear from anyone in the next few days, I am going to have to rent one.
