church on the balds:

sunday afternoon

We had the MOST beautiful Sunday afternoon at Lake Watauga. We ended up hiking close to 2 miles, we think! Lily did great. As you will see from the pictures, playing at the water's edge was the highlight for her.

She also stopped to smell the flowers a few times and play in the creek.

She also grew very fond of this leaf that dad picked for her, which she called a "fedder"

she's four, so getting all the way in the water is inevitable, we have learned....

now Lily is a teacher, teaching us about "fedders"




all in all, such a beautiful afternoon....
