This is my new favorite video!!

Lily is saying a new "word" today (not on this video)- "uh-oh" - and now says "sssssss" and puts her finger over lips...like "shhhhhhh". Also, she puts both hands over her face and makes raspberries....yes, she is imitating us blowing our noses. We have had colds in this house for the past 2 weeks!! She is so observant.

Jeremy and I love this video for 2 reasons: 1. When she looks at the camera and explains who she is looking at, and 2. (this is the part the Grandma will love :) when she accidentally gags herself with the spoon. That may sound mean, but she does it all the time.

Catchin' Up

I dont have much time for blogging these days since Jeremy uses the computer all day and all evening for schoolwork, but here are some random pictures and videos from the last few days!

We are teaching Lily animal noises....she mostly barks, but occasionally will humor us with other animal sounds.

The weather has been pleasant the past few days, so we have been keeping the back door open. I thought Lily would crawl out there right away and eat the dirt from my plants, but she wont cross the threshold, or put her knees down on it...

Wiggles

Here is a new thing Lily is doing: we call it the wiggles. She squirms and shakes her head back and forth when she is really happy and excited. In these videos, I believe she was interacting with our ceiling fan. Who doesnt love a quality ceiling fan?

We Are REALLY Excited Today.

So, I have decided to never post again about Lily Mae's sleeping successes or failures. A few days ago, I wrote about how wonderfully things were going - she was sleeping 11 hrs at night and napping great! Bad idea. That very night everything changed. But like I said, I am not sharing details anymore....

Lets just say we have been TIRED.

Luckily, we are revived. This is the sunniest, warmest day! We have the windows cracked (and the heat on ;), and have been admiring the daffodils that are poking up in the woods. Jeremy, Lily, and I went on a walk and breathed the sharp, fresh air deeply, and are ready to take on the world again.

As you can see from the video below, the baby is thriving. Is that the right word? ;)

We read online that this might start happening soon: KISSES! And woa, are they intense and wet. (Enjoy the oh-so flattering picture of me.) And yes, she is still wearing a Christmas sleeper.

Seconds before this picture was taken, she pulled my earring out of my ear. Goodbye dangly earrings, for a while!

Lily has officially entered into the grabby-to-mouth phase! Jeremy and I have both been sick this past weekend, and we have discovered that cough drop wrappers are the best (heavily supervised) entertainment. She had us cracking up with her fake-outs and persistence.

A Pig Slash Duck Among Us

We have a discovered something new to do with our voice! This video is doesnt nearly do it justice, but shows the experimenting and variety we get to hear. Mostly, she sounds like a duck, or a squealing pig...a "puck" if you will. (Be careful with that one.) I think she really likes the way making the sounds feel, b/c once she rediscovers how to do it, she doesnt stop...
