CHRISTMAS 2011 so far (Best EVER)

Here are some photos of December, so far.
This picture is from a tea party at Lily's preschool - they showed a slideshow at her Christmas program, so I took a picture of the picture of her and Elijah, her best bud!

the cutest elf, top right, dark green dress. Grandma Betty came to visit!
and brought presents!
I conned Lily into these pigtails...

our Christmas tree, decorated!
The first night we got our tree...Lily got out this little stool and just looked at the tree.

Lily has been SO excited about Christmas this year!!

new friend

Meet Lukas - our friend Russ and Jess's baby boy! Lily is really excited for Luke to grow up just a little bit more so that they can run around together. We are so grateful for new friends, big and small.

Lily to me, at dinner:
"What kind of soup is that, vegetable or strawberry?"

Old Friends, New Friends

This past weekend, we had an alumni soccer game at Milligan. Seven girls from my era came back to play together. We had the BEST time! One of the sweetest parts of the weekend was the bonding between our children. My great friend Salem, who (whom?) I played with all four years (AND whom (who?) I haven't seen in NINE years), brought her three daughters to stay at our house. It was absolutely incredible how my daughter and her daughters hit it off immediately - almost as if something from Salem and I's friendship from those formative years had been passed on to them. We agreed to get together more often, for their sake...and ours :)

Tim, Salem's husband (and our friend too) - holding all four girls!

Adalyn (6), Lily, Miriam (4), and Lydia (2)

they LOVED the camera, unlike Lily... probably because it's pointed at her ALL the time!

Adalyn, Miriam, and Lydia gave Lily a bath! Lily asked them to and the parents agreed... and it ended up being the cutest thing ever.

We are so glad to have reunited with old friends and that Lily got to make some extra special new friends!
