Ketchup: iPhone photos: Community

I have been taking less pictures with my "real" camera, and using my magnificent iPhone camera to capture much of our daily lives.  Finally, 6 months later, I have imported them onto my computer.  This is a small snippet of photos which express our local community - we feel SO grateful to be surrounded by small humans that Lily calls friends.  And, I cannot adequately describe how grateful I am for the support of the families of these little ones.  We are SO blessed.

This is A LOT of pictures, and only a few... did you know you can click on them and view them in slideshow format?

Instructions on How to Pass a Hot Summer Evening

by Lily Mae Walker - for all my friends.First, tell your mom and dad that you want to play in the sprinkler. Then, as soon as they get it out, remember that you are terrified of sprinklers and ask for the hose instead... Get your dad to hold the hose. Your mom will be behind the camera, as usual.

Then, prolong getting wet by finding all sorts of interesting creepy crawlers in the grass and around the driveway.

Make sure to be really, really excited and jump up and down A LOT!

Brace yourself, because the water will be cold.

Do some really cute things, like pointing out all the water droplets that you make on the driveway.

Pretend to pull down your underwear, numerous times. It never gets old.

Hike up your underwear really high if you want to make your mom and dad laugh.

Be really dramatic about how cold the water is.

Another really cute thing you can do is try to balance on one leg and catch the water on your lifted foot!

Or, try to catch it with your arms.

You can also pretend you're taking a shower.

Do not attempt this activity if you are wearing a diaper.

Ask your dad to wash your hair with the hose; be sure to use "shantoo"
Make your Mom say "awwww" by creating small footprints all over the pavement.

Whenever a plane or helicopter flies over, be sure to verify that "the plane won't get me" and that "it's gonna stay up in the sky."

Have your dad spray the water really high and pretend like its rain. Try to catch it in your mouth. Ask for your umbrella numerous times.

When your mom and dad get distracted and start talking about boring things, take off running down the sidewalk until you get their attention again.

You can also try to catch the water in your hand.

Amuse your mom by trying to see your reflection in the camera lens.

Then, freak her out by trying to get the camera wet.
She'll know its worth it for smiles like these

Finally, take the hose from your dad. He'll let you have it, because he doesnt realize you can now squeeze the trigger.
Spray your dad. He likes it.

Lastly, ask your dad to get your towel and warm you up. He will like that, too.
The End.
