Curls

We're headed to NC this weekend for Sarah and Carlos' wedding! I can't wait to celebrate with them. And, as a bonus, we get to see Grandma and Grandpa!!

Check out those curls! I hope she inherited her dad's hair!

Big Window Photo Shoot

I really love taking pictures. I really, REALLY love taking pictures of Lily. I hope you enjoy these; they are some of my favorites - not because they are outstanding quality or especially creative or brilliant in any capacity, but because this was the day that Lily spotted her first cardinal out of the window reflected in her eyes.I know the peace that looking out of a good window offers. Dont you see it on her face?

Easter Lily

Easter was a beautiful day for us. Our church service was very meaningful, though I must confess that I was not fully there mentally because Lily spent her second Sunday in the nursery! Let me back up. She did GREAT the first week. Her parents, however, did not do so well. I knew we needed to continue dropping her off to get her (and us) used to the nursery, plus, her joyful exclamations and "singing" during the service were becoming distracting to Jeremy and I. Anyways, on this meaningful Resurrection day, I dropped her off again, and she was fine when I left. I was a wreck. I vaguely remember telling the nursery workers such details as, "she can sit up, but once in a blue moon falls over" and "she has a bib in her diaper bag" (why would she need a bib??). Jeremy had to quiet my bouncing legs and wringing hands several times during communion. Finally, I couldnt take it anymore, and opted to spend my "passing of the peace" time by checking on her, who undoubtedly was frieking out without me.

I went down and poked my head in the nursery and saw a face similar to this one. She was just bouncing up and down in an exersaucer, and apparently hadnt even noticed that her precious mama was missing. Lesson learned. I did hear the rest of the service. it was simply beautiful.

I had the prettiest Easter dress picked our for her to wear, but the weather did not cooperate. (YES, I AM playing the dress-up Easter game.) She still looked especially cute in this outfit from Aunt Haley.
After church we headed on down to Greenville for Easter afternoon with the Lawhons and Meemaw & Peepaw. Here Lily is digging into her Easter basket from Mimi and Papaw! It was full of fun treats!

1/2 Year Old

Today Lily Mae is half a year old! Everyone said it would go by so fast, and I believed them - but I guess it didnt compute or something.

She IS becoming more and more fun every day, and I cant wait to see what tomorrow brings!

I am already planning her 1 Year birthday party (in my head) - you are all invited!! It will be under the walnut tree in our backyard, complete with bubbles, balls, and a pink elephant cake possibly...more on that in 6 months...
