First Day of Kindergarten, Photo Shoot

FUNderstorm

This morning Lily and I sat out on the porch and drank "coffee" (hot chocolate for Lily) while a "funderstorm" passed over. One of us really enjoyed sitting and listening to rain and the other kept busy rearranging everything on the porch. After a while we played ping pong together for the first time...or, I should say, a variation of ping pong involving rolling the ball across the table to the other person and getting REALLY excited if they caught it!

Triangle

Here is Lily's latest thing: making a triangle with her hands. It's a weird one. She makes it when she's happy, sad, nervous, excited... All the time!

Why am I getting all these treats??!?

Because I go to the bathroom in the big girl potty now!!!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!

Lily went pee-pee in the potty for the first time this morning!!!!! Let the potty training begin...

INTRODUCING...

...CHAPTER 2 of Lily's residential life! We will be out of contact for a bit, b/c we are MOVING into our new home in Elizabethton! We're supposed to close tomorrow and everything looks to be in order for the actual move to happen this weekend! Jeremy and I are SO excited. I think Lily kind of understands that something is happening and she knows that she will be sleeping and "eat breakfast" (as she says) at the new house!

We are sad to leave this apartment that we have loved for over 3 years now. Trading the quietude of rural life for sidewalks and neighbors will be a good thing, but not easy at first...

Thanks for thinking of us and praying for us during this transition!

This is What I Do

Hey Everybody - check out my new bike! Granny and Gramps gave it to me, and I love it - even though I can't quite pedal yet and get stuck on it...I am learning to color! My favorite is dumping out all the crayons and pretending like I'm going to eat them so that my mom gets mad at me.

Have I mentioned how much I love hats? I really, really do!

I am a very silly Lily.

I am learning my letters still - I pretty much have them all down. I disagree with my mom when she tries to tell me that at "t" is an "I"....

Here's something new I learned how to do last week! My mom made a big deal out of it, but I do it all the time in my crib.

Sometimes I do really cool stuff with my dad - like set up our tent and play in it! He is the most fun and I love playing with him.

I am really into photographs right now - especially of me and my family. I am starting to remember the names of people I have never met or haven't seen in a long time!
