Jeremy and I think this video is PRECIOUS!! We put up the Christmas tree and some decorations while Lily was napping so here is her genuine reaction to seeing it for the first time! You can hear her saying "Star" (Gar) and "What is it?".
We are so excited about celebrating this Advent season with Lily! She is old enough this year to be aware of all the special things we are doing - with family, friends, and church community. Jeremy and I are looking to start some new traditions this Christmas - ones that will keep us from becoming slaves to the consumer mindset, help us to remember the reasons we celebrate, and keep us simple! Any suggestions? What does your family do?

Super cute! It's neat to see Jeremy as a dad too! Our family has decided to pick names so that each person only has to buy/make one gift. We've also decided that homemade gifts are way better than store-bought ones. Food is also a big hit...pumkin bread, sugar cookies, organic dark chocolate and organic Grade B Maple Syrup are our favorites. In the community where we live in Guatemala people give out tamales to those they invite over. It's simple and everyone goes home happy and full.
