Nose Crinkles and More

Lily is doing two new things over the past couple days that might possibly be the cutest things I have ever seen. (See "dancing" post for the first cuteness) Pictured above and below are the "nose crinkles" as Jeremy and I call it. She has been exceedingly smiley recently, and rewards us often with her biggest efforts which include wrinkling up her nose. These pictures give you a general idea, but the full cuteness cannot be comprehended unless it is live (are you ready for this Grandma and Grandpa??) We have had a very busy week. Jeremy had several projects due and exams, but is now DONE with the semester!! He thinks his grades will reflect his efforts. He did, however, have time to put Lily in this basket. No one knows why.
Our friend Carlos has been staying with us for the past week, and left today. Lily got really attached to him.

We also turned a corner with bathtime - we didnt use any "equipment" (except toys) and she did great!

Lily was thrilled to find that her dad left one of cups on the floor, and after she spilled the water everywhere she played with it for a long time! She loves drinking out of cups, and is actually surprisingly good at it.

This is a video of Elijah and Lily showing off some of their tricks.

This might be my last post for a week or so, because WE ARE GOING TO THE BEACH!!! Nags Head, NC to be specific! We are SOO excited to see Granny & Gramps and Grandma & Grandpa. Lily is so ready to see them! Jeremy is looking forward to do some serious fishing and I am ready to try to read a book and get some sun. Uncle Jonah, we will really miss you!!

We'll be back with cute Lily-on-the-beach pictures, and maybe even some tales of the one that got away.....

PS. For those of you who know our area, here is a picture from this morning of Buffalo Mtn. It is on fire. And for those of you who know trees, the one in the picture is, in fact, a Paulawnia tree! We have been enjoying its sweet scent and blossoming beauty from our front porch for several weeks now.
