Let the Parenting Begin

Two traumatic things happened yesterday. First, I was eating an apple (and sharing with Lily- meaning she was licking it), and when it was gone I set it down....and she cried because she wanted it back. She has never done this before.
Later, I was changing her diaper, and she grabbed the picture of Grandma and Grandpa off her picture board (which she often does) and started putting it in her mouth, and I heard myself say "NO" to her. Not in a serious, forceful way, but just to imply not to do something please. I have never said that before to her. I say it on the video too - it just came out so naturally....

(PS - Grandma and Grandpa - she was really trying to give you kisses! She is SO excited to see you both this weekend! We'll miss you Uncle Jonah.)

welcome to being a parent! hehe! i was surprised also at the age that real discipline started. as soon as she's crawling, you'll have to set boundaries of what she's allowed to do and touch. it's not the fun part of parenting but it has to be done.
