Favorite Tree

I have a favorite tree. I have often thought to myself, "how can one have a favorite tree?" and "Is this particular tree really better than the next?" But then I drive by this one again in Greer, SC.
I have been admiring it from a moving vehicle for 10+ years now, since it is on the way home from Milligan to Greenville on 291 (I think thats right?). I am moved each time I drive by, though I havent worked up the nerve to stop, park, examine, and touch...yet.
I would love to take pictures of Lily Mae underneath it or in it, or somehow together - the tree, and my girl. What a great picture that would be...
I am so thankful it wasn't removed when those new-ish houses were built...
(These pictures were taken from a moving car, and as usual, photographs do not come close to doing its majesty justice.)

Casey -- that's Mark's favorite tree!! He recognized it immediately. It's on 290 (I only know that because we live on the other end of 290) -- small and beautiful world, huh?

Wait -- that is my favorite tree too! I used to drive by it twice a day on the way from Tigerville to EHS. I remember when they built the neighborhood around it, and I was so sad, and also jealous of those people who had the tree in their front yard!!
