Although our families are not giving traditional gifts this year, Jeremy and I still want to give Lilian something special to commemorate her first Christmas. We are thinking of something age-appropriate, yet timeless; useful and fun - preferably not something plastic, made in China, or over $30.... that narrows it down, huh. Any ideas? I was browsing the internet and saw some things like this and that. I would love some advice!
PS. how cute is that dress?!?

I love those toys you picked out. Also a cute idea is a handmade quilt-y blanket out of things she's outgrown already and favorite old things of yours.. if it's made well, she can take it with her to college for a lap-blanket. :)
Princess Lily Mae looks so beautiful! I can't believe how much more expressive she gets with each week - she has so much personality!
Those toys look marvelous...and will last long enough for you to tell her that they were from her very first Christmas!
LOVE that adorable duckling!
Casey--I've sure been loving your blog! Gettin' to be that I check it nearly everyday! And that cutie-pie is looking more and more like Jeremy, yes? At first I saw lots of you and Toby...
So here is a site for potential xmas gifts that I found-

Alina: great idea! i wish i could create things as beautiful as you do, such as brown wool bunnies... :), but maybe now is a good time to try!
Jan: I love the site, and have saved it to my favorites. Thanks!! And yes, she looks exactly like her dad. Expecially the eyes and head shape. :)
