The View from Our Window

Although I do believe that God is inconceivably bigger than the box our culture tries to keep Him in, I also feel confident and assured that He is involved in our seemingly small daily lives. My feeble attempts to pay attention to what he is doing around me are beautiful when my eyes connect with His through the life outside my window, and when my hands touch His through the fingers of another. Sometimes, on those heavy grey cloud days, failure to connect seems so imminent that the desire to persevere to know God is extinquished. It is in these moments that all we can do is fall on our knees and pray the Psalms. This struggle is simply life, I think.

Jeremy, Lilian, and I have some changes in sight - coming quickly around the bend, in fact - and we are eager to meet them with faithfulness. We are praying daily that our clarity will be decreased, and our trust increased. The future is not clear, nor certain, but we know we have each other and we are sure that we continue to be a part of the story of God...we'll continue to update you on the plot often.

So, the latest: After almost 2 full years at the Natural Foods Market, Jeremy has given his notice and will become a full-time student at Milligan starting in January. For those who dont know, he will be getting his masters in education with liscensure to teach high school English. He will be finished for the '09='10 school year. Logistics and details arent coming easily, but we both feel confident through prayer and wise counsel that this is where the path leads.

We are so grateful to those who have encouraged us in this process, and for our family and friends who love us no matter what, even if they dont understand. Mostly, Jeremy and I want to set an example for Lily: to be a family who trusts simply, fully, and with intention to be those hands which are the touch of God.

Here's a cute picture of Lily to lighten things up a bit :)
