For the past two days, SOMEONE (we wont mention any names) refuses to sleep more than 20 minutes at a time, and wants to eat every hour. The result is that this "small human" (again, no names mentioned) is tired and grumpy, and wont go to sleep because she is hungry again because she was too tired to eat a full meal. Its been enough to make me pick up Babywise the book) again. Another fun thing: projectile spit-ups. I am on my 4th shirt, and she-who-must-not-be-named is on her 3rd outfit. (Dont worry - I have already spoken with my lactation consultant, and we think we have the issue worked out...)
GOOD THINGS about today: COOING!!! - a new, fun thing Lilian has just started doing. and SMILING!!! She is responding to us with heartbreaking smiles that make all the frustration and laundry loads of the past few days absolutely worth every minute :) I havent been able to catch a good one on camera yet. I think they are just for us, for now.

God really planned things well. About the time you want to trade em in, they start with even more adorable things. Hang in there! Soon you won't even bother changing your shirt :-)

I remember another "adorable baby" who NEVER slept, had to be held, sang to or rocked constantly, would only fall asleep if riding in the car and spit up so much I always smelled like formula!!!
